Client Presentation: Concept Scheme
As part of my final year major project I discussed the design concept with a 12 person panel. This included members from the Community Centre (Clients), Council Representatives and Finance Advisers. This live brief requires alterations to the community centre buildings of an area in Telford, Shropshire. Briefly discussing the concept of renovating an existing 1960s building into an open plan, brutalist inspired interior. With the use of sketch books and two presentation boards I was able to gain approval to continue my concept and develop the scheme. Since the presentation I was contacted by the clients to help with a way-finding exercise. This was for their 50th anniversary and required a visually attractive poster for visitors to navigate around the currently difficult layout. From this point I will be focusing on materials, lighting and FF&E. For more information on lighting please see my dissertation abstract.

AspirATion/CIAT Presentation: Coventry University
I was asked to speak with students from Coventry University on behalf of the AspirATion group. This was my first public presentation involved with the institute and met various members as part of the networking opportunity. Along with our regional chair, we discussed the leap from university to industry expectations and how the group can benefit students during this transition.

House of Lords: University of Wolverhampton Student Representative
In May 2017 I was invited to represent students from the University of Wolverhampton by Lord Paul of Marylebone PC at the House of Lords. The reception was organised to celebrate the ongoing development of the Springfield Campus and its transformative vision. I was very honoured to attend this event and look forward to witnessing the continued growth of Wolverhampton' School of Architecture and Built Environment.
"The site of the former Springfield brewery has been transformed into Europe’s largest specialist construction and built environment campus, bringing together businesses and the education sector to maximise impact on the economy. Since its purchase in 2014, the derelict site has been rejuvenated into a centre of excellence for construction and the built environment, delivering an unbeatable skills pathway for construction education and training from the age of 14 to senior professionals. The £100 million development is acting as the catalyst for economic and social regeneration, tailored to creating jobs and delivering the technical and professional experts required by the industry" - University of Wolverhampton.
Client Presentation: Final Scheme
As part of my Final Major Project at University I presented my work to the Clients of Sutton Hill Community Centre for the second, and final, time in May 2017. Over the 20-minute pitch I interacted with the Clients, inviting them to use models and mood boards to further understand the scheme as well as envisage its practical completion.
Final Major Exhibition: Best Exhibit Award Winner 2017
As part of my Final Major Project I developed an exhibit to showcase my design solutions for a local community centre. Continuing the idea of using natural materials within the scheme, the exhibit illustrated the same integrity. Diversifying my visual display with the use of: water colour renderings, digital technology, mood boards, a site model and working model as well as technical booklets and 3 completed logbooks which demonstrates my creative thought process throughout the project.

Presentations and Public Speaking

During my time working at interior practices, I have had the pleasure of meeting various supplier representatives as well as involvement within client meetings. My willingness to develop my social skills has opened a great opportunity volunteering for AspirATion, a group of architectural technologists supported by CIAT. As a representative from AspirATion I have traveled to multiple universities to discuss student development and increase awareness of the institute. This has given me confidence during networking events as well as controlling meetings with clients.

Graduation: Awards 2017
Within my graduation ceremony I was awarded both the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology Outstanding Student award and Tweedale Architectural Design prizes.
